- Wipe with a soft, dry or lightly damp cloth, and never soak the surface. Blot spills straight away so moisture never sits on the grain.
- Keep the piece away from direct sunlight and heat sources, which fade the colour, dry the timber, and warp the natural grain over time.
- Avoid spillage of synthetic oils and fragranced liquids such as home diffusers, reed diffuser oils, perfumes, and cleaning sprays, as they can stain the finish or react with the wood sealant. Wipe off any contact immediately.
- Blot spills immediately, especially acidic liquids like coffee, citrus, wine, and vinegar, which can etch or dull the polished surface. Do not wipe and spread them.
- Clean with a soft cloth and a pH-neutral cleaner only. Keep vinegar, bleach, and any abrasive or acidic products away, since they damage natural stone.
- Use coasters, mats, and felt pads under objects, and reseal the marble periodically to guard against staining and moisture absorption.
